Ohio, I'm sad to say but at age 43 and being a natural lefty, I only own one left-handed gun, a Rem. 700 it's presently a common 270 but its in the process of becoming 7mm Mashburn Super.
The rest of my guns (rifles & shotguns)are right-handed.
My dad taught me to shoot right handed at an early age thinking I would be better off.

I'm 42, Right-Handed, Left-Eyed. I've been shooting LH forever. I have no LH guns. I recently bought a Beretta Optima trap gun and converted the offset and Safety myself to LH but other than that my rifles are all RH Frowner

I also shoot all of my pistols RH, Left-Eyed...

I am left handed for anything that requires dexterity, writing, tools, etc. However, rifle, shotgun, baseball bat, golf club, archery, are all done right handed with dominant right eye (just feels natural).

The problem is with a pistol. The left hand is more natural, but need to offset for dominant right eye. For fun shooting I usuall just use both hands.

Hell, you guys don't know how lucky you are - getting a firearms licence for a single firearm here is a drama. - Let alone some of those collections!

I have a left handed Weatherby action custom built to .500 Jeffery by Sabi Rifles - which is my carry gun and gets used for everything. Also an ambidextrous .40 S&W made by ADP and an old (English) left handed s/s 12 gauge. I've just got rid of a ambidextrous Blaser R93 in 30.06 that I used as a loaner and then had problems with and am just changing it for a more useful .404 Jeffery from Sabi Rifles in a R/H mauser action. It'll still be used as a loaner/camp rifle/back up but as most of what we do is now for DG, it'll see more use.

I am right handed but left eye dominant & have been shooting left handed since the early 80s. I have bought & sold numerous left handed bolt action rifles over teh years here is a list of what I curently own.

1. Left handed Ruger M77 Mark II 270
2. Left handed M70 wood/stainless 30-06
3. Left handed Rem 700VS 22-250
4. Left handed Ruger M77 MArk II 300 win mag.
5. Left handed M70 300 win mag (for project gun)
6. Left handed Weatherby Mark V Deluxe 300Wby.
7. Left handed Rem 700 338 win mag.
8. Left handed Browning A-Bolt II 375 HH mag.

I also have (2) left hand Zastava mauser actions. The first is being turned into a custom 35 whelen with lots of action work, new bolt handle, 3 position safety, new magazine release & very nice Turkish walnut stock from a blanlk I bought here at AR from Ray Atkinson.

My other action will be turned into a nice light weight. stream lined hunter with 22" #2 countour Douglas barrel in 270/280 or 30-06. I have yet to decide. With a nice trim Engliush walnut stock.

I walk down the gun racks looking for the bolts on the off-side, interesting to see what you occaisionally find.

Yeah, I went to Blaser R93, a heated topic I know but they make about the slickest Right-Left rifle conversion on the market and have a complete set of Right-Left Bolts and Bolt Heads to make life easy. Luckily, have a Left-Handed Misses who shares in the glory of Leftness with me.

Blaser R93 L/H-R/H set-up for:
1. .222 Remington,
2. .223 Remington,
3. .243 Winchester,
4. 25-06 Remington
5. .30/06 Sprg.
6. 300 Weatherby Magnum
7. 9.3x62, and
8. .375H&H

Last week I also had in my grubby little fingers a complete Left-Handed Anschutz 1742 in .22 Hornet. Yeah, the garish-looking one, with the Roll-Over Cheekpiece and inlays; not exactly my current tatse in fine rifles but it didn't matter! Anschutz made exactly 10 of them. He had bought it for $800.00 from an Estate Sale and you don't want to know the idiot price I offered him for it - but couldn't make him budge! I know where he lives though, so there's still hope.

1. A L/H Savage Model 93R17GLV in .17 HRM.

2. A L/H .22 LR Anschutz 1415.

3. A L/H .223 Heym SR-40 (the original L/H Mini-Mauser - they only made a couple).

4. A L/H Keppeler in .222 Remington, try http://www.keppeler-te.de/ - it's in German but you'll like what you see and they DO make L/H's with a minor surcharge.

5. A L/H Zastava Mini-Mauser in .22-250, the pencil-thin good for nothing barrel is gonna get dumped and it made into a Teutonic .250 Savage light-weight sporter, stay tuned.

6. A L/H Remington 788 in .243 Win. Yeah, I know, Remington never made .243 Win. in L/H but swapped the .308 Win. barrel with another 788 owner, so have an original Remington barrel on it!

7. A L/H Remington 700 in .243 Win. (it resides in the gunsafe but is now the property of my Misses, so don't even ask!)

8. A L/H Savage 110 .30/06 Sprg., highly customized by Harry Lawson in Tuscon AZ and an original Brown Precision sythetic stock. For years my only real Big Game Boomer and after 30 years still shoots .75" moa.

9. A L/H stocked Blaser K-95 single shot in 7x57R. Just because - break open single shots should have a rimmed cartridge!

10. A L/H Mannlicher stocked Ruger #1 in .270 Winchester.

11. A L/H Savage 110 Tactical in 7mm Rem. Mag. with the original barrel Fluted and a Richard's Micro-Fit Target Stock - the Poor-Man's Long Range Boomer!

12. A L/H Zastava 9.3x62 Mauser that started life as an ugly .30/06 Sprg. The stock got pitched with the barrel and a 20" 9.3 Lothar Walter barrel with a customized Bell & Carlson stock (converted to L/H with lots of Steel-Bed) installed. A fantastic Drive Hunt Boomer!

13. A L/H Winchester Model 70 Super Express in .375H&H Mag.

14. A L/H Remington 870 Wingmaster with three barrels.

15. A L/H Remington 1100 Trap.

16. A pair of Merkel 12 & 20 gauge SxS's that have had the stocks bent. I had to leave the shop when they started as you DON'T want to know how they do this!

Cheers,

Number 10

I have the following left hand weapons:
Carl Gustaf 25-06 with 3x12 scope This is not a Mauser action and is one of the worlds smoothest action.
Savage 308 DM with a custom trigger and action work by a USMC Ordanance Tech. 1.5x6 S&B scope it has been to Africa twice.

Alpha Grand Slam 284 Win. No longer made. 3 lug bolt, Timmny Trigger, Douglas Barrel, Alpha wood stock, Win style 3 position stock. One of the few left hand ever made. I would sell.

Browning A-bolt 270WSM with a Lone Wolf stock. This is my light weight.

Winchester custom shop limited edition 300WSM still new in the box. This is a special edition of I thimk no more than 45 and only in 270wsm, 7mmwsm and 300wsm. I have a friend who spent over $12,000 to buy 4. He has all three serial #1 and a shooter in 7mm. I would sell it.

Montana Arms 376 Steyr. Action work and stock by Serengeti. Special Selection stock with a Leupold Euro 1x4 30mm scope in Talley mounts. Plan to put the 1.5x6 S&B scope on it. Went to Africa and took several animals with it.

Coming is Sept: I won the 2005 Serengeti lottery for past customers. I had a Montana Arms barreled action in 300wsm. They will be doing most everything to it including a best grade walnut stock. I think it should be a great combination to go with my 376Steyr.

Dakota Model 10 single shot in 7x57.

Marlin guide gun in 45-70. I think I will switch the scope to the Leupold Euro 1x4 with the heavy reticle from the 2-5 scout scope. What do you think?
