Yo ! I just decided that I really need another left handed hunting rifle in about a 270-338 calibre .. So I went down to the local large gunstore .. and while they didn't have any in stock .. a bunch of LH Savage Weather Warriors have been ordered. There might be a single 270 in Calgary but they won't find out until Tuesday ... The right handed one that they showed me rather impressed me .. A cool trigger.. seems to fit me well ... too bad it doesn't have a detachable clip (here in Alberta we can't have shells in the magazines in the vehicle .. too many folks must have ended up topless ...)I told them I would take the 270 if available .. although I might have preferred another calibre .. Has anyone used them before.. Thanks ... thumb

I've got a few Savages but they are blue steel because I couldn't find a weather warrior. I had a standing order with two gunshops for a left handed, weather warrior in 300WSM, 7mmWSM or 25.06 and didn't see a single one come available in over a year.

That was over 5 years ago, hopefully the choice will be better now.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I have used a LH 30-06 in that model for 10-12 years. Accuracy was superb. No problems atall.

I bought a left handed weather warrior about a year ago for foul weather hunting, cost just over $400.00. I bought a 338 WM. with a 2 x 7 Leupold scope. The only thing it needed was a new recoil pad to add about an inch to the length of pull and to absorb some sting of the recoil. It's a tack driver for the caliber and I like it a lot.

No good deed goes unpunished.
