Can anyone direct me to some info which specifies what chamberings are available in left hand? I went to Rugers website, they didnt have anything dealing with what chamberings they offer in left hand-is it because ALL of their chamberings are available in both left hand and right hand(HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!). I am wondering if they offer the 6.5x55 swede in left hand.

Web site is pretty clear. Click on the Model 77 and scroll down till you see the left handed models. Click on it and the different models come up (blued and ss) and shows the calibers. My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Thanks. Revisited the sight-dont know how I missed it the first time. Funny how lefties only want to shoot 5 cartridges- 3006, 270, 7mm, 25-06, 300 win.

I hate to admit it, I love bolt guns, but an encore with a great 1.5 lb. trigger job from Stratton Customs and Match Grade Machine barrels in any caliber your imagination can come up with is the best option a leftiey has if you are interested in stuff other than the same old 06' or 7mm, 300 mag choices out there now.

You might check into Blaser rifles, imported by Sigarms. I have a synthetic and a Prestige with calibers in .222, .243 & 7mm-08. They are wonderfully accurate and offer switch barrel benefits.

Yes, but they cost a hell of a lot more than $600! My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

snowwolfe, I bought a Savage weather warrior SS, left handed, in 338 WM and for around $400.00. This gun is a shooter. After putting it together I finally got to the range. It definately shoots well and after changing the recoil pad to a pachmeyer it lengthened the LOP and reduced the beating the gun originally gives you. I like it and for the money this is my bad weather gun. No good deed goes unpunished.

If you're not going the custom route, the caliber choices for a LH rifle are limited at best. Usually, it's the regular 243, 270, 30-06, 7mm mag, 300 winnie, etc (apparently those are the only calibers left handed people shoot). I've got a LH Ruger 77 in 270, and it's been my favorite for over 10 years now. _____________________________________________________ No safe queens!

I don't own any of the above, my lefties are: 22 LR Rem 581 22 Mag Savage 93GL 22 Hornet Browning A Bolt 25/06 Browning A Bolt 7mm-08 Savage 11FL They are out there just don't get your heart set on one brand. I saw a LH 280 Rem A Bolt on gunbroker a few weeks back, that would have been a nice addition.
