For anyone's information- There is currently a Left Hand Mod 70 Super Express, 375 H&H, NIB on Gunbroker for $995.00. I thought I scored about two months ago when I bought one NIB for $1200. Go figure. | ||

Go to Gunbroker but instead of using "Left Hand" under your search, use "LH". Sorry I didn't mention that before. Regards, Scott | |||

Can anyone tell me- Did the Super Express pre-date the Safari Express that I have? This gun (the Super Express) has a monte carlo stock design and different front sling attachment. | |||

I think that it did. When I was looking for my Classic Safari Express I ran across a large number of used Super Express rifles for sale. Yes...similar guns. Notice the lack of a barrel band sling swivel and I am not sure if they have the Williams Bottom Metal. ****************************************************************** R. The Super Express were made in New Haven before production ( and Quality) went down to South Carolina. I have both the Super Express and the Safari Express and find a definite difference in quality between the two with the Super Express better finished and better functioning. Several Safari Express rifles I have handled, including mine, have had feeding problems. | |||

1000 rounds through my Safari Express. Developed feeding problem on or about round 1050. Replaced the follower spring with a Wolf. No problems now. I love the rifle. Exceptionally accurate. | |||
