Lorenzo: Im going hog hunting next weekend also.
That location almost assures a trophy but there is an unexpected and spicing factor this Saturday: no moon for five hours due to an eclipse. Tough going for my Nickel!. If I dont shoot a pig between 18.00 and 20.00 P.M. I must wait until 01.00 A.M. A good time for testing my Leica binos anyway.
Que tengas buena caza!

Whack and stack them! I hope you get a bruiser. We are planning our next pig hunt already. Looks like we are going back to Niihau to shoot polynesian pigs again. I love that place. the pigs are small by comparison, 50 to 100 lbs but man are they fast. Maybe we will have to do a trip to your place next time. Anyway good luck and good hunting. Remember, lot of pictures. [Big Grin]

Johan,
I just return from the smith and I'm completely in love with THAT rifle [Smile]
It's ready to shoot but not blued yet, the man is going to do somethong more to the stock but it's a couple of weeks from being completely mine!!!

Finally I leave it with the long barrel (25 1/2 inches). I must remember to take a reel also with my ammo because that thing it's so long that can be turned into a fishing rod in a couple of seconds!! is the new fashion, the "Atkinson's style" [Big Grin]

Mike,
After your MONSTER e-v-e-r-y pig will look small [Wink]

Richard: I was not supposed to go to Lorenzos place. In fact here in Argentina we hunt them hogs at night, the Uruguayans in full daylight and usually in the middle of water. When one of our hunters wounds a big boar and you must follow him into the brush....you have quite a ball. Some of these pigs grow bigger than a lion so go figure!
[Big Grin] [Big Grin] Regards

Nainital:

Hunting a big fierce wild boar in the night ... I would fly half way across the world to do that .. (I did that to hunt them in the daylight ..) I've done the lion and leopard hunting at night, and one really really does not want to wound one of those !! A four hundred pound angry pancho would scare the begeesus out of me !!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] You are very lucky .. I'm going mule deer and white deer hunting this weekend ... lots of snow, but the only risk of injury is if I get a hernia shovelling snow when I get my 4 x 4 stuck ...
