Thanks,
Seriously. There are two versiones/possibilities.

San Martín Fathers moved to Colonia and all of San Martín brothers birth certificate were finded in Colonia's church, all the certifications where found there with the exception of the prócer one, and I think he was in the middle so it's strange.

The other theory is that he wasn't son of San Martín family and that his real fathers were a spanish captain and a guaraní/mestiza woman (San Martín family has moved back to Argentine by then), because of this is that some people said that he was phisically different to the rest of the family, more dark skinned etc, even Simón Bolívar once refers to him despectevely calling him "ese mestizo" (or something similar) in one of his letters.

This is what I know, maybe I'm wrong, also keep in mind that in that times Uruguay was one of the United Provinces together with Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Santa Fé and Córdoba, so was not a separate country as we know it today, all this provinces where holding together trying to avoid Buenos Aires central power.

Artigas and the militar goverments of these provinces fought to avoid Buenos Aires centralism ideas, Artigas NEVER fought for making the Provincia Oriental a separate country !!

Finally the geverments leave him alone and acept Buenos Aires, seeing his dream falling apart he moved to Paraguay and never return, it's funny how we consider him the Uruguayan prócer Roll Eyes when what for he really fought was for the United Provinces in a federal states system.

I hope not to have make many errors (horrors), this is what I remember from school boohoo

BTW, The real name of Alfredo Zitarrosa was another one, I don't remember his real father's last name. His mother get married again later with an argentinian named Zitarroza and Alfredo adopted his last name.

Thanks and take care
Lorenzo

Lorenzo: please refer to Ignacio Garcia Hamilton´s book about San Martin. That theory about an illegitimate birth is not new, it should be noted.
But tell us about your water buffaloes and its pricing and savage charges, we want to know more details of your operation, not your dubious thinking about our Founding Fathers Big Grin

Do you want to know something funny?
I am a direct descendent of Artigas, the mother of my grandfather was Amalia Artigas, grand grand whatever of our national hero Big Grin

But you are right, let's talk about pigs and buffs... thumb

I will start to work the soil to do some corn plantations in the farm, I hope this will keep the pigs in the property !! They are driving me crazy, today here, tomorrow there, and next week 60 miles away Mad

Neighbour farmers started to load their farms with A LOT of cattle so I hope that they will run the pigs from there, my property is a big lung of thick bush in the area, with the crops I am trying to create a pig paradise !!

No crops in the area because of terrain, so pigs are big travellers.

Also I have some tame sows next to the house, so in their next heat I hope to atract a good boar.

They have thick bush, food and sex...what more I must offer the bloody pigs to keep them in my property ???.....whisky ??? bewildered

In a more serious way, the only thing I'm worried is that with all these conditions in a couple of years the pig population will increase seriously and these can bring me some proplems with neighbour sheep breeders.

Let see what happens....

Well, being a married man I wouldnt know personally mind you.. it would all be hearsay. You would have to ask your friend Nainital about a certain establishment in Buenos Aires about 2 blocks down from the Alvear Palace Hotel.
