A couple of good guys from Montana came up to do a lynx hunt with a cougar tag in their pocket. Second morning out we cut a huge tom track, the dogs trailed for 3 hour baying up the large cat. Five miles later he treed and Matt took ol'Thomas with his recurve.
The skull green scored 15 9/16" putting him well in to Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett.

The next two days where full of excitement and excercise as the hounds got into a couple marathon Lynx runs. With an icy layer on the snow the dogs legs and feet took a beating. With all the dogs hobbling around we started looking for hot tracks and ended the hunt with these two nice cats on the third and fourth day,Matt with his recurve and Nick with his long bow, finishing off the hunt a couple days early.

The dogs are happy to be in their kennels licking their wounds and taking a rest. Now if there was only a dog spa around the corner I might take them for a massage. archer

Zoey and Cookie where in on every race and are recovering from sore feet from the ice layer. They should be good to go on Monday, which is the start of the next hunt.
