The coca cola was (for me) because the hunting wasn't over for the day. I did enjoy more wine than usual (again) though.
I am having a little trouble seeing the pics. I used high speed film, I figured we would be taking pics after dark. If they came out better I will ad them later. The hunt was great but I think pics tell the story better.
The pics with the large birds was after about an hour of shooting in a area with enormous trees, that was alot of fun.... and we cleaned and ate every thing we killed. What we couldn't consume (certainly most of it) we gave to the farmers that live on Juans various farms. YOU CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH LAND HE HAS TO HUNT!

This was a great hunting experience! One to recommend for sure!

Both Juan and Willy were excellent outfitters, very dedicated to our success and great cooks also! Not to mention the climate of friendship that was present and how it contributed to make us feel like that we were hunting partners for many years before.

The hunt was as promised...lots of patridges, doves, liebres (rabbits), foxes and literally thousands of shells. In fact I guess the service Juan provided was first class.

To highlight, was Juan and Willy hospitality beyond duty !

Also a pleasure the company of Wildpork and his father, Tom, two real sportsmen from the US. Do they know that shooting so much could develop a flinch! jaaaaaaa!

I hope to see them very soon. We are preparing with Juan a hunt in Chaco, a paradise for extreme hunters.

Gus

Juan, I can barely wait to the moment to enjoy together a hunt like this, my friend ... likely soon, very soon !!!

Your son is just as you told me ... enjoy his company ... two generations of hunters sharing the same hunt is almost a blessing .... father and son and the magic moment of the hunt... I assure you these are perennial memories, which I don't doubt your son will always be proud of having lived, just as I am sure you are now !

Martín

Invader, this hunt will take place in northern Argentina, specifically in the Province of Chaco.

This area is dense bush, semi desertic or jungle... I really don't have the info at hand at where we are heading. Also the climate is tropical with all that comes with it...snakes, bugs...you name it

But for sure, it'll be a real thrill. Hunting in virgin areas, the old way!

The game is abundant and ranges form buff to peccari. Lots of birds.

Juan, I am very sorry to hear about Tomas. I'm sure it is a very hard enviroment......Not for my father! He does want to hunt Stag in Patagonia though. We will talk more about it.
The truth is that the hunter I missed the most on this trip was Paimun. It is incredible how the dogs that hunt with you can become some of your best hunting companions. I'm sure Tomas will be missed too.

I remember that place. It was my favorite place we went to on this trip. Even though we didn't get anything there(I didn't want to shot at the birds for fear of scaring any big game we might see), the terain was awsome! My father enjoyed that part of the hunt too. I wish I took some pictures there.
