I have hunted in Europe and I like th etrophy fee system. If you don't want to pay top dollar, then just shoot a representative head. SHoot some culls for a low price. If you want the biggest there is, then budget enough for a gold medal trophy fee. If you are no lucky enough to get a monster, then you can take a smaller animal and pay less for the hunt. I think it is a very fair way to do things-fair to the hunter, game manager, and land owner. It does promote good game management, which Europe does far better than the typical US location.
