2015 grizzly bear with my friends at Primitive Outfitting near Prince George BC.

I hunted with Jeff Lander/Primitive Outfitting last year for a spot & stalk black bear hunt. Both my son & myself, shot two 7 foot black bears with a V-C double rifle. Made a decision then to come back this year for a grizzly bear.
The weather was extremely warm but my guide Gary Hilscher got me where I needed to be.
This trip I used a Verney-Carron magazine rifle in 404 Jeffery

Congrats. I know Gary from my hunts with Nahanni Butte in the NWT. He's a great hunter and a super guy. Funny as hell.

Congrats Ken tu2

Nice bear. I hope to repeat that in Yukon in August. But no Verney Carron 450 NE - no scratches on the French lady so far Smiler I bring my Blaser Proff R8 in 300 Win Mag - can be used as walking stick in the Mountains Wink
