I may be headed over to Texas in the new year, and was thinking of a few hunting opportunities that might come up.

I was thinking of Javelina, are there any seasons? What should one expect to pay?

They should pay you! The little sumbitches are everywhere and suck up corn like organic vacum cleaners.
More seriously, they are common enough in South Texas that if they are incidental to other species being hunted, they shouldn't run more than $50 or $100. I don't know what a stand-alone javelina hunt would cost. Maybe Ray Atkinson can chime in. There is an annual limit of two per hunter in my county but no season, if I recall.

Yes I can fix you up with a Javalina hunt if you will email me, I'll have the ranch send all the particulars...The season is 6 months long...I can set up a hog and Javalina hunt probably unless we have sold all our Javalina for this year....even have some doe permits left at reasonable rates...This is not an expensive proposition. Ranch is near Del Rio and Groove Bullets can tell you about it or go to my web page and check on Venado Grande.
