Going through my copies of OUTDOOR LIFE MAG`S (USA) i re-read the story of the first American to take a Mongolian argali..the mag is dated Sept 1966 the hunter was George H Landreth and he used a 30.06 heres a pic of the massive ram....BTW i have approx 20 copies of OLife for sale dating from 1957/58/59/ but mostly 66/67,stories galore of how it was.... 9mm steyr auto`s $19.95 Walther p38 $37.50 2 Mauser`s and one Mannlicher with free ammo for each at $29.95 for all THREE or individually at $12.95 each.....my my havent prices gone up? I remember reading this article when I was a kid. It was soooooooooo interesting. And I believe this chap nailed about three rams on the trip ??? I may be mistaken .. but didn't he die a few years ago when their boat on the way to a duck hunt collided with a BIG boat .. ?? | |||
