From past posts, I believe Juan is the one in the vest.

Juan ..... would you consider the Red Stag in the photo to be "average" or "better-than-average" for your area?

Nice trophys. I would love to hear more details of the hunt. I hope to hang a stag on the wall next year. We are going one year from now to Los Molles in the Pampas. We booked it through Cabela's. I went to S. Africa this year, but this will be my first trip to South America. So I am not sure what to expect. I have heard that hunting stag during the roar is an amazing experience. We are hunting the first week in April next year and are looking forward to finding out.

I also am going to try to take a puma if we can track down a nice one.

Tell us more.

Huntingbuddy: you may also add wild boar and many other trophies. Get well used and water repellent boots, you´ll hunt the stags at first light. The wind is a capital item for reaching them. You go to the roars of course. Usually the fields are still plenty wet at that early hour. Light rain garments also are a good idea.

Juan

Just three more weeks and we will be joining you for our hunt.Looking forward to a big buff and all the other game that you have to offer, including the hand to hand wild boar hunting.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!
