How much ammo can you bring with you when you go to Argentina?

I took 2 boxes of 20 300 WinMags w/me but nobody checked. If you take any shotgun other than 12ga, be sure your outfitter acknowledges that he has ammo for you. I got there with a 20ga and no bullets. Had a great time shooting the outfitters benelli 12ga but would have rather had my 20. Make sure to start early to get your gun permit. Each person allowed to bring in 2 firearms and the weapons & permits are checked in and out.

Fireman, Our guide suggested 40 rounds for each rifle. I took a 338 Win Mag for the Buffalo and a 270 Win for the Deer.

Firemen, John charges less than $6 a box and they are good loads. His dove and Duck hunts are $180to $200 depending on the area. Check him out at www.sportingdestinations.com John is top of the line and the best price going. Hawkeye47

I just hunted with with a outfiller near Cordoba last week (www.argentinawildwings.com). He charges $9.95 per box of either 12 or 20 guage. Even though the price is steep, having killed over 9,400 birds among the six of us, I would hate to have carried all those shells with me.
