Area Hunted was in Nunavut. 3 hunters, 2 rifles, a Remington Custom Shop in 416 Rem, with 400gr Barnes TX, the other rifle a Sako 85 in 375 H&H with 300gr Noslers. Temp was -37 with out the wind everyday. We drove on Snowmobiles and drove a total of 650 miles. First photo is of one of the Musk Ox in the early stages of a charge, you can see his front legs are up and charging and at the same time the hunter shooting. I am still too cold to give all the details. Enjoy the pictures. ]

Hi Scruffy, The sun set was just after 2pm, short daylight, we had no time to take good pictures had to skin and cut up the musk ox quickly,as we shot 4 bulls between the 3 of us. Very cold but all that meat is worth it.

Another reason why I am glad that I did my hunt in the Fall. Good looking animals. Even the rocks don't last forever.

Thank You All for your comments. The third picture is of me, and my Caribou Skin Parka, there is nothing as warm and light as a Caribou Parka.

Wow! Thats amazing! Is it hard to skin when it is that cold? I would think the hide would freeze and get stiff as fast as you can peel it off. I would be really interested to hear more about your gear!

Thank You for your comments. Boghossian - Most common is a 223, and yes I have Pants made from Polar Bear Skin. Nick_Adams - It is not hard to skin in extreme cold as long as you skin asap before it freezes solid, and yes the skin freezes as soon as it is peeled. For our gear, we pull 18 foot sleighs with our Snowmobie, fully loaded with survival gear, spare parts, food, gas, tent,ect.......
