I just returned from a fantastic hunt in Spain!!! I took a nice Spanish Red Deer and a Gold Medal Southern Spanish Ibex. The Ibex is a 15 year old beauty with 65 cent. horns and very good mass. I am very proud of both trophies. The people were very friendly, the food great and the ladies beautiful. A great place to hunt.

Congratulations, what was it like hunting with all those dogs and handlers driving the game? Was the bag at the end of the day a sight to behold? Must have been exciting to say the least.
Good for you.

Hi John,

It was unusually wet and we could not access the area of the Monteria so I hunted with Miguelle at a private ranch where a local group of hunters has a hunting club for Partridge and Hare. If you think doves are a challenge just try those Red Leggs coming down off those mountains at 100 miles per hour!!! I met some really nice people and made new friendships that I hope last a lifetime. Two of the new friends will be here in the US on November 14th for our Deer season.
I have some photos if anyone could post them I can e-mail them to you. I would like to share the pictures from this hunt.

Congratulations Hawkeye47,

You should be very proud, those are some really great trophies. Im sure they will provide lasting memories for many years to come.

In 99 I too hunted Spain. During the hunt I took a very nice 14 point Red Deer (SCI 227 1/8) in a cork forest located in the Andalucia region of southern Spain. My Gredos Ibex (SCI 77) was, of course, taken in the beautiful Gredos Mountains, west of Madrid. It was truly one of the most memorable hunts Ive been on.

Again, congratulations!
