I shot this buck on opening day of Wisconsin gun season. He came through at 4:00 P.M. chasing a doe.

Rifle: 1895G 45-70
Scope: Pentax Lightseeker 2.5X
Shot Distance: 40 yards
Shot Location: Top of Heart
Distance Traveled: 60 yards
Buck: 9 points counting 1 broke off, 165 lbs. dressed

Sounds like a nice deer. I didn't go out because of The CWD. Where in Wis are you at???

Moon,

I hunted the Northwest, Washburn & Burnett counties, county and paper mill land. Next weekend, I am hunting with the in-laws in the kill-off area around Reedsburg. Don't fall for the CWD BS. Go hunting and a good time.

There is some good hunting up there. I shot a nice 9-pointer in Washburn county in '01. Near Harmon Lake. Last year it was in the 60's during deer season. What a difference a year makes weatherwise!
