Danny, I've been there, not hunting but fishing. Very wild and very big place. I don't know if hunting is allowed, but you know..... Maybe depending of the country, remember that this jungle covered more than one country. Fauna is pricipally monkeys, paca, agut, puma, jaguar, pecar, small venados, yacar, capivara, etc. Nice place for flyfishing!! LG

The same animals also live in our Eastern and Northern provinces but the jaguar trophy is unobtainable, its hunting forbidden and heavy punishment in force. The Brazilians rain forest offers an inequaled landscape, it should be mentioned. I understand hunting in that huge chunk of land is very restricted and the country suffers political trouble. Just being there seems somewhat dangerous and Id much prefer booking in Argentina, Uruguay or Paraguay. Fly fishing is marvelous of course, the tucunare being the foremost prize. We fancy the dorado (salminus maxillosus) as the best fighter in the world, which you can also found there.
