This hunt is from this past spring in Alberta with Bearpaw Outfitters. It's been a while since the hunt and I haven't even got my rug or FBM back yet but I just found this site and thought folks would like to see pics of a couple huge bears. Nice Bear! Way to go! I have never hunted predators but Black Bear is definitely up there on my list.

Both bears were taken with a Remington model 700 30.06 using Remington 180 grain Core-Lokt bullets. Average shot distance was only 35 yards. Double lunged both of them with one shot each. They went about 50 yards before hearing the "death moan".

MarkS, The hunt took place a few miles north of Peace River out of St. Isadore. I might go back in a year or two and look for a large color phase.
