So, I finally broke down and found a picture-hosting site today. I am using Yahoo! Pictures...30 MB is allocated for free. We'll see if it works.

As an aside, all the pics are of stuff from HY (hunting year) 2002, which is Sept 1 - August 31. [Wink] All but the blackbuck were killed on family land in the Rolling Plains of Northwest Central Texas. Not included are pictures of VERY successful dove, quail, and varmint hunting, or a couple dozen other hogs. Here goes:

This porker, July of '03, ran close to 350 lbs. Among my biggest ever. Best tush ever for me, but one side was broken off. If he'd had both tushes, he'd be at the taxidermist (if I could've gotten his head in my truck [Big Grin] ). Custom Remington 300 RUM, 180 gr NP, range=about 10 ft.

This is a young gobbler that I stalked for nearly an hour in a really thick mesquite flat, April 2003. Finally got within shotgun range of him and 4 of his buddies. Beretta 390, Winchester Supreme Turkey #4s, range=about 40 yards.

Sept 2002. A smaller hog, maybe 150 lb. Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Mag, Hornady 300 gr SXT. Shot broadside through the heart, what you see in the pic is the ENTRY wound. He bled more than any animal I've ever seen in my life. Range=about 20 yards.

November 2002. My best whitetail buck ever. This boy was real nice, came in to some rattling. He scored in the 125-130 range. Rem 300 RUM, 180 gr NP, range=about 190 yards.

 -

Wanted to post a pic of him mounted. I cut, dried, "peeled," and stained a mesquite stump during the months he was at the taxidermists'. What do ya'll think?

This Blackbuck was taken east of Fredricksburg, Tx in November. Not sure how to measure the horns (any help?), but I've wanted to hunt these beautiful animals for years, so he's a world record to me. I think he might actually be pretty big. He's very thick, and had heavy scars on his horns and face/neck from years of fighting and living amongst sharp rocks, trees and bushes. This is as full black as you'll ever find a blackbuck in central Texas. Rem 300 RUM, 180 gr NP, range=about 150 yards.

It looks like the Yahoo! solution isn't going to work. Anybody have any other sites that will host pics?

TT: That's a HELLUVA blackbuck! You really ought to have it scored, as I've seen very few its equal.

Your hog photos look like Shackelford, Haskell, or the vicinity (which could include about 15 other counties). Which county?

Stonecreek, I grew up in Jones county, and have hunted Shackelford and Haskell (both contiguous) counties alot as well.

Any idea how to contact an SCI scorer?

I have never posted a pic, and would like to. Once you have it posted on the web, how do you put it on this forum?
