Iam trying to decide on a hunt for next year and iam thinking of a Ibex ,gazelle hunt in Mongolia ,i was there 3 years ago [not hunting ]so have some idea of the place and people .Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced outfitters ? and any other advice ? thankyou !

Some of the areas in Mongolia have been hit rather hard and you need to make sure the refrences you check have been there on recent hunts. Juulchin has a hunt for 2 Diffrent Gazells and Wolf that is an excellent price and the guides that I hunted with say that this is one of their best hunts. Lots of outfitts claim 100% for Ibex but the other hunters that left when we did had some female Ibex and some juvenile Ibex with only 12 inch horns. I would not have paid the Domestic surcharge or the vet certificate for any of their trophies.

The more I hunt abroad the more distrustful that I become of these supposed Hot Spots. I feel that by the time we hear about these places the best animals have been taken or the
guides want an enormous amount for a good trophy.

Maybe I am just bitter but I have had some of my best hunts with individuals that hosted me in their countries. I have had some great hunts with outfitters but have had at least 3 that left a bitter taste(especially a Bear hunt in Russia).
