AndersDamn! That looks good!
Reminds me of last years National Day here in Norway, were we gathered friends for barbeque. We went to a local farmer and bought a pig ("in natural packing"), and barbequed it without cutting it in pieces. We used like 9 or 10 hours before it was ready to be served. No problem to wait, we had a few beers while we waited.

The best roast I`ve ever tasted.

JefferyDenmarkI will try this in the summer

It sounds like quite a meal. I have a pig farmer close to where I live.
The beers is a must when eating pig and other meats

Cheers,
André

BoghossianNothing better than roasting a whole animal. That is what we eat on Christmas day when visiting family in Ethiopia, a full sheep. You start cooking it during breakfast and eat around 2pm with the skin as crispy as a biscuit.

nainitalAndré: beer with an asado?. What a shame!. Try a Terrazas Cabernet Sauvignon or a Malbec and tell me afterwards...get Juan to look after that brand or the Catena varietys.
Good hunting

I like the wines of Nicolás Catena very much ecpecially the Nicolas Catena Zapata
The Catena Alta Malbec is also a very juicy grape.

nainitalDo the Uruguayans eat asado?. I understood it was roasted pigeon...

And of course we are tempted into selling them Punta del Este back. Too many Brazilians, you know.

nainitalJohan: I´ll acknowledge that Brazilian girls are very pretty. But our neighbors eat steaks from Brahma cattle, water buffaloes and so forth and you need a pretty good dental equipment to digest these delicacies. Elephant meat is a lot better for my money. For eating, nothing equals the Pampas´produced beef.

JefferyDenmarkIn only nine days I will eat that tender beef.

André
