If the post from "www" is any idication, I think it's time to get out troops out of France...as a result of fighting for France in WWI there are 26,255 American fighting men buried in 4 French cemetaries.....there are also 30,426 American fighting men buried in 6 cemetaries that gave there lives during WWII. It's time for these 56,681 brave Americans who sacrificed their lives for freedom to come "home".

I think their memory is better served right where they are. France, Germany, whoever, has the right to make their own decisions that they think are best for their country. I don't believe we should over react. Their bodies shouldn't become a political weapon. I'm still having trouble getting over the fact that we killed about 60,000 of our men and women in Vietnam, in a poorly managed war, then as quickly as we could, rushed back in to do business with the new Vietnam government. I think it should have been 100 years before another U.S. dollar ever got spent in Vietnam.

It was called the "Dulles Doctrine" that Vietnam was the key to all of Southeast asia and was a product of Cold War politics and stratgy. If you don't understand the time you have no concept. By the same reasoning it is hard for me to understand all the origins of WWI-but I know them. It also had it's origins in hauling the French cookies out of the fire after DienBienPhu.

Bill, I agree totally, but I would sure like to see these posts kept out of the hunting forums and in the political forums. Good Hunting, Bob
