Agent - Outfitter: Global Hunting Resources/Royal Mountain Adventures

Location: Eastern Colorado

Species: Mule Deer/Whitetail

Hunts: Archery, Muzzleloader & Rifle

Dates: October - December 2009

Although we still have a couple archery hunts starting tomorrow, most of the season is now winding down. Overall the hunts were a huge success, and I thought I would post a bunch of the pictures below. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for some of the pics from guides and hunters, but here is a listing of just a few. I will add the weapon used, score, and rough date the animal was taken. Our Whitetail hunters, including bow hunters, averaged 163" on whitetails for the season. In fact, 9 of the 12 whitetails shot so far were 160" or better. Mule Deer averaged well over 180", likely in the mid to high 180's for the season, but we haven't got the averages figured out yet. Over a dozen bucks scoring 180" plus were taken in 2009 so far.

Muzzleloader - October 2009 - 187" gross B&C

Wow...what a group of bucks! I hunted the eastern plains back in 2000 and 2001. Took a 211 NT muley...and saw many other 180ish+ bucks. The eastern plains of CO hold some brutes for sure.

Oh man, that is one heck of a year. Put a gun to my head and make me choose one animal to hunt the rest of my life... It would be hunting bucks like those.

That my friend is deer hunting! Congrats to you, your organization, and to those lucky hunters.

Drummond - Whatever!!!! The only reason you guided any of those bucks is cause you were calling me on the phone, asking me what you should do, where to go, etc, etc. Sorry, I could not remember all the scores exactly. Man, I hate to take any credit from you sweetpea.

Love,
Aaron

Josh - That's kinda like asking a guy for his girlfriend's phone number. But I'll tell ya this. Most all of the hunts are conducted from north of Ft. Morgan, and south to Lamar. We actually now have nearly 250,000 acres leased, and have meetings over the next 2 weeks with at least 5 new landowners.

Guys, thanks for the kind words.

Aaron

Thanks Aaron. Yeah, your kinda right about asking for GF's phone number. But thanks for sharing the info. Looks like you put together one hell of a hunt.

TMTAXIDERMY - It can happen to you someday, you just need to come to eastern Colorado for a deer hunt.
