Mokore Safaris is offering some PG specials at reduced prices. The Zim hunt is on their Mokore ranch area on the Save that is just jumping with game. The Mozambique hunt is on their Coutada 9/Nhacainga Conservancy that is the best unfenced PG hunting I have every seen. This is a great opportunity to take a very big kudu or eland as an add-on for the trophy fee only.

MOZAMBIQUE

7 days with 5 species( Warthog, impala, reedbuck, duiker and bushbuck) for US$ 5000 inclusive of daily rates and trophy fees for these species. (These animals are counted as part of the package whether taken or not and cannot be exchanged for others). Extra animals can be taken and extra days added at current brochure prices.

Trophy fee:

Kudu 1500
Zebra 1200

Kudu Cow bait 375
Warthog 400

I personally have hunted both of these areas and you definitely should take the package species if you shoot well in the 7 days. These packages are an inexpensive way to get your feet on the ground in some of the best all around hunting areas in Africa that hold not only great plains game but the full spectrum of DG.

Contact me anytime with questions.

Mark,

You should change your header from "cheap" to "inexpensive".

There is nothing cheap about the Duckworths. The Coutada Camp is the finest camp of the six I have stayed in Africa.

In six days of hunting Coutada Nine I shot:
Warthog
Sable
Kudu
Reedbuck
Cape Buffalo
Bushbuck
Eland
Oribi
and my wife shot an impala.

This is a bargain especially if you add a couple of animals.

Mike,

I'll take your advise. The price works out to about $360 per day 1x1 which is a bargain for this type of hunt in this very wild enviroment. You are absolutely correct in that Mokore does not put on a "CHEAP" safari by any stretch of the imagination.

Even though I have been lucky enough to hunt quite few areas and take a variety of animals in Africa I still took 6 animals in the seven days I was on Coutada 9. I also had two opportunities on big eland and one each on sable and Lichenstein's hartebeest. The area is really amazing.

Put me in the Mokore fan club as well - they do a great job. The camp in the Save is beautiful and the place is crawling with game. I hunted plains game there last year and it was just want I wanted, wild africa with challenging hunting. Great people and a great experience.

Mario,

Yes $1,000 round trip per vehicle. It is a long ride. You can also charter and that will be about $2,000-$2,500 round trip.

Bronxfats

Mid August onward is the best time to be there. I was there early October and it was perfect. Earlier before the grass is burned visibility is severely limited.
