I have a hunt booked through cabelas, with Sigmahunts.com out of Utah. I have a landowner tag, and hunt booked for October 2013 (possibly this october).
The hunt is 11500.00 plus a landowner tag of 1500.00
I have 2200 left to pay off the hunt, plus the tag. So basically I have paid off 9300 if the hunt.
I would like to sell my hunt part for 7000.00. that is a discount of 2300 dollars. (OBO) That would total 7000+ 2200 remaining + 1500 tag. $10700 total hunt.
so basially, a 13000 trip for $10700.00
If you would like this hunt, all I have to due is call my contact at cabelas. (frank cole) tell him you are taking the hunt, and then you would call to get paper work straight.
Please let me know if you have any questions or want to make an offer. I will consider all reasonable offers.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry if I'm being nosy, but I looked on Siggma's website and it looks like they offer very fair cancellation terms. Is Cabelas sticking you with having to resell your hunt(which seems unfair to me)?

Looking at Siggma's terms it would seem that you should be able to get your full deposit back less a $500 cancellation fee.

I just hate seeing you have to take a big hit on a cancellation that is 18 months out.

quote:

BOOKING
Future Year To book a hunt for a future year, a $500.00 non refundable reservation fee is accepted to hold the dates of your future hunt. In January, of the year of the hunt, the deposit must be brought up to a total of 50% of the cost of the hunt. The balance must be paid by August 1st in the year of the hunt.
Current Year To book during the current calendar year, a 50% deposit on the total cost of the hunt must be made. With the remaining balance to be paid by August 1st.

CANCELLATIONS
If the hunt is cancelled prior to April 1st of the year of the hunt, 100% of the deposit will be refunded less a $500.00 cancellation fee. If the hunt is cancelled between April 1st and July 1st, 50% of the deposit will be refunded less a $500.00 cancellation fee. Any hunt cancelled after July 1st but before August 1st 25% of the deposit will be refunded less a $500.00 cancellation fee. Any hunt cancelled after August 1st, no refund will be made. (If the hunt can be resold by Siggma to another party, the deposit may be applied to a future hunt that is mutually agreeable to both parties.)

Someone needs to jump on this. These are by far the most beautiful moose species.

I know that they don't have headgear of the Alaskan/Yukon moose, but they are the most beautiful of all the moose.
