I've known Diethelm and Katya Metzger/Makadi Safaris for several years and a number of my friends have done multiple safaris with them but we've never done any business together until now.

Diethelm has been putting a special effort into improving his leopard hunting by doing a lot of his own research on the leopards that inhabit the 175,000 acres he hunts. This research is starting to pay off as the '12 season was 100% on leopards. 3 hunters booked three leopard hunts and all took a nice toms. Pix above are of the cats taken in '12.

Here I should say that in the past I've made a point of trying to talk people out of leopard hunting in Namibia because of the overall miserable success rate. I think Diethelm and a few others like Omujeve are getting a handle on hunting these very wary Namibian ranch cats.

These hunts are traditional bait and blind hunts and only daylight hunting is allowed.

Makadi operates two beautiful lodges offerng private rooms, full baths plus nice food and service. Non hunters are welcome and horseback riding and day trips to points of interest can be arranged. Add-ons for a few days at Etosha or to the coast are also available.

1 leopard is still available for '13 and 2 for '14.

Includes 10 non trophy aniamls per hunter. You'll be hunting broken horn animals and animals that are over abundant such as oryx and black wildebeest that they have many off. (no part of these non trophy animals can be exported) Trophy animals can also be taken at the below trophy fees. 15% VAT is also included in the package.
