Friends,

Me and Erika and Neil will be in the Zambesi Delta from early October to early November this year.

I am taking an SCI donation hunt to the Delta for Crocodile and Buffalo.

We still have four Buffalo spots open there on the quota list.

Since we are there and we are running out of time for guys to plan their booking, In am going to make an END of SEASON deal way before the end of the SEASON.

The area is communal. There are not herds of Buffalo that numbers in the Thousands, but they are there in their hundreds. Our area borders the famous Mahimba reserve.

This hunt is only going to cost you $7,500.00 plus government and travelling cost!

It is a tough hunt, in a tough area, and it is reflected in the price. I love hunting here, and it is REAL old Africa.

Itinerary Breakdown:
Day 1
Arrive Johannesburg and clear Customs and SAPS. Stay in Africa Sky Guesthouse
Day 2
Fly to Quilimanne from Maputo, meet and greet, clear customs and firearms. Drive to hunting area
Day 3-9
Hunt
Day 10
Travel back to Quelimanne - Fly back to Maputo and Johannesburg - Sleep over at Africa Sky guesthouse
Day 11
Fly back to USA/Europe

Price Breakdown:

Day fees:
$500.00 x 7days = $3,500.00

$4,000.00 Buffalo Trophy fee

Total hunt cost: $7,500.00

Other cost:

Buffalo Tag fee: $1,250.00

Mozambique Government cost:
$350.00 Rifle Import
$250.00 Hunting License
$40.00 Ammon tax for 40 Rounds

Travelling cost:
Fly from Johannesburg to Maputo to Quilimanne - $500.00 return - Commercial
Visa that you obtain in the USA from the Mozambique consulate - $80.00
Overnight - Johannesburg x 2 nights = $300.00
Road Transfers to the area and back - $800.00
Approx Total Travelling fees: $1,680.00

$800.00 From Mozambique to South Africa

So, by my calculator, $13420 total cost, excluding airfare from home to Tambo back home, and taxidermy fees once back home.

How much is an observer?
Also, how much for 2 hunters, one PH, and two buffs?
Can a second buff be taken just for the trophy fee if the opportunity presents?
Any price difference of getting just skull/horns back to US vs skulls and capes?

thx

What I am most impressed by is your detailed breakdown of all the costs! I am not in the market but in the past I have searched for this kind of info - what will it cost me TOTAL door to door? I could not find such a detailed break down ever!

Wish you the best on this sale! Thanks for the information.

Kindly take note that I start a hunt on Thursday and will not be able to connect with AR until Saturday/ Sunday.

So please forward any serious inquiries to Erika@infinito-safaris.com

Nakihunter:

Thanks for the compliment. That is why folks book with us and why we stay in business for so many years. I always list all the prices and always try not let money get in the way of a hunt. Hunters have the right to know all the charges.

Answers to questions Duckear:

1. The area is not "observer" friendly. Other than busting themselves hunting with us there is not much else to do. It is a fantastic setting, and fascinating scenery (Stepping back in time a bit) but not much action other than the hunt.

2. We camp. Given you will sleep one or two nights in our nice big Mara tents, but the rest of the time you are going to be out in the bush sleeping in fly camps. If your observer still wants to come $350.00 per day is the observer fee.

3. This is an adventure style hunt.

4. The price is dirt cheap and stays the same, but you can take a second Buff, if one is available on quota for $5,000.00 T/F but you have to buy the tag before hand $1,250.00

5. I pay a company for the travelling not the size of the trophy. So no, it will not make any difference. The South African side it does though.

Crocodile can be added for:

$2,500.00 Trophy fee PLUS $850.00 tag fee.

Remember to EMAIL me/ERIKA with inquiries!!!! Do not ask them here or PM me please!

With many thanks folks,
