This year we almost lost the Moose hunting in Ukraine due to the Ministry Of Ecology believing it would be a good thing. We've managed to keep it open for at least another year.
If you want a good chance at a Trophy Euro Moose, i have some licences for this winter. Season ends 31st Jan.
I also have some remaining Sika Licences, good time to find a big lone Stag now!

Trophy Moose Hunt
Program and Information
Pick up at Kiev Borispol or Kiev Zhulany Airport, drive approx 3 hrs to 5hrs to hunting area. The hunting areas are in North Western part of Ukraine and nowhere near the problems in the East.
Accommodation will be in Cabin or house in hunting area.
Good Flight connections to Kiev are available thru Amsterdam, London and Istanbul. Also cheap flights with Wizz air from Hamburg, Cologne and Dortmund in Germany and London Luton.
American, Canadian and European Passport holders can enter Ukraine visa free. Australian can get visa on arrival. New Zealanders need to receive a visa before arrival.
Importing firearms is difficult so I will supply a scoped and Ruger American or Haenel Jaeger in 30-06.
References available if needed.
Hunters should bring with them their Firearms and Hunting Licence .

Trophy Export/Import
If time allows after the hunt I will supply an International Vet Certificate and copies of the License.
If the hunters want, they can take the salted cape and boiled and cleaned Antlers/Skull with them when they leave but I would recommend that the hunter seeks his own clarification from his authorities about importing Trophies.....especially to Europe now before the hunt.
If the hunters don’t take the trophies, they will be dried, packed and shipped at a later date at hunter’s expense. A good option is to take the cleaned skull/antlers with you after the hunt if possible and have the Capes tanned and dried professionally here and then shipped later. This should allow importation to Europe without any restrictions and minimal expense.

Hunting methods
Hunting is best in the Rut or in the winter with snow on the ground which enables us to track the Moose. Dec and January are the best times. We might drive and look for track or use Horse and Cart, then stalk on foot.

Accommodation and Meals (while in hunting area), car and guide for 4 days hunting.

Processing of Trophy (skinning and salting Cape and boiling and cleaning skull)

to 8kg €1900

10kg and over €3100 + €80/100g

Payments – Deposit €1200, the rest can be brought in Cash. Deposit can be wired thru to my Australian Account in equivalent AUD or my Ukrainian account in equivalent USD or Euro.

Other costs
-If hunter wants or needs to stay longer its €200 p/d. (If time allows)
-Non Hunters - €150 p/d
-Hotels before or after hunt min. €60 p/d
-If any Trophy animal is wounded with blood found, ½ to full trophy fee will be charged, at discretion of hunting guide.
-If leaving hunting area early, meals and accommodation are not included.
-If you want to hunt Roe, Boar or Red Deer specifically after you shoot your Sika, the cost is €50 per outing. Red Deer are in different areas and Transfer will be €100.
-Trophy packing and shipping

Additional Animals on Trophy Fee Basis – These would be opportunity type animals while hunting Sika or hunted specifically after your Sika Trophy is taken

€3000 to 5kg. If over 5kg €150/100gr with max of €3500.

Sounds like a great hunt. Out of curiosity, what size moose would you expect on this hunt? Also, what temperatures would you expect at that time of the year?

Hard to say what temps you might encounter. It depends when. Could be around 0 Deg C now to down to -15 in late Jan i suppose.
Size you could expect would be 7 to 10 pts a side and weight about 8 to 10kg but bigger do get shot!
