Kamo GariTalk is cheap, I realize, but assuming my first trip out next year for birds with George is successful, you can bet I'll be back to chase these magnificent creatures!
George, I have read reports here from Scandinavia (I think) on hunting these birds, and it seems most use a rifle in calibers such as the .222, and it often involves an exciting stalk based on the vocalizations and pauses of the bird's call. Is this similar to your method?
Thanks for any insight!
Edited to add: what does 'single room accomodation, if possible' mean?

Unforgetable HuntingThanks Kamo,
Is exactly the method that you described it perfectly. Hunting is a unique, worth living once in lifetime. As a matter of fact, here in Romania you can not call a true hunter, unless you shot capercaille and chamois.
Accommodation is in small huting houses in the middle of mountains, closer to the place of hunting. Usually, these houses have no more than 3,4 rooms. Hunting Period is no longer than one month, so it may be more than three, four hunters in the same period. If two friends come together is likely to stay in the same room. But if you came alone, do not worry, you will not be forced to share the room with a stranger.

Thanks for the clarification. But should it be unavoidable, I will take one for the team and bunk up with another hunter. As long as she's under 35, pretty and friendly, naturally!
