Hunters, I have a few hunts left with Joshua Bruce in KS. The draw is over but there are a few tags left on the KS G&F web site. I bought mine today for muzzle loader. Around 16,000 acres to hunt with crop field and KS allows feeders. Tree stands, pop up and ground blinds to hunt from. Joshua is a US Veteran and has Boone & Crockett bucks to his credit. Trail cams are showing some great bucks and they still have until early to mid-September to grow. I'm hunting muzzle loader Sept 11-15th if you wish to join me. Fly into Garden City or Wichita, KS. 45 minute drive from GC or about 2 hours or so from Wichita. Food, lodging included. Semi guided hunt (if your in the stand alone, you'll have plenty of photo's to advise you the shooter bucks in your immediate area. Cost is only $2,000 for this initial season. Next year they plan on going to the normal price for Kansas Whitetails. Deposits are 50% with the balance due at arrival. Price is for Bow, Muzzle Loader or Rifle. Non-Res hunting only license is $112.03 (due to Internet fees) and your either sex Whitetail tag is $440 plus a few small fees. I paid $554.53 all in. Time is short and tags may be gone by tonight. We are sold out the first 5 day rifle hunt: Rifle season is Nov 29-Dec 10th. Second rifle is open. Lots of grain fields and feed for those bucks looking for food. A few tags left in unit 18, 16, 17. How many hunters for each week?

Maximum of 4 each week. The land certainly could handle many more but the GM only wants 4 each 5 day hunt. He feels that give him the best opportunity to move hunters around to find the best bucks...and they are growing some whoppers. Unfortunately, I can't post our trail cam pics but will be happy to email them to serious inquiries. We have one opening left in 1st week of Muzzle loader, and none in 1st rifle but a few openings in the other weeks.

How many spots are available for 2nd rifle and how much of the 16k acres is in the units where the remaining tags are valid? Any information available on success rates on the property and trophy quality from recent seasons?

On lodging, bunk house/separate bedrooms?

All 16k acres are in unit 17. However, you can hunt unit 17 if you have a unit 18 tag, as it is directly connected to unit 17. Example: if you have a unit 18 tag, it's connected to unit 17 so you can hunt 17.
Lodge has 6 bedrooms so maybe one or two people will share a room if their hunting together. It has 3 baths and a full kitchen. We have 4 openings muzzle loader second week and 3 rifle second week. This is the first year of operation, thus there are no annual success rates to report. I have current trail pics that are taken daily and there are quality class bucks growing every day. Next year their plans are to charge accordingly. LDK

Update: We only have 2 openings for 2nd M/L: Sept 18th-22nd and 2 openings for 2nd rifle: Dec 4th-8th 2017. Archery still has openings.

Archery will start Sept 23rd. However, we have few dates open and will end the last week of rifle.

These bucks just keep growing and growing. New property (around 3,000 acres) has some new bucks showing up already. We're estimating between 40-50 bucks that are mature enough to call shooters, but that lies within the hunter who pulls the trigger. It's your hunt and your call.
