Recent elk from the area

Cold Trail LLC that I have worked and hunted with for years in Idaho's Unit 1 has been sold to one of the Cold Trail's long time guides and is now Selkirk Guiding and Outfitting.

He has 4 elk tags available for the rifle opener Oct 10,'24.

Expectations should be for a mature bull elk. I had an archery client kill a 358 B&C bull here but that should not be an expectation.

This is a hunt for a guy in good shape as you'll need to do some climbing and hiking in some rough country.

The outfitter will be doing some flying pre-season to locate where elk may be concentrated so you are not going in blind. You'll be hiking into where the elk are.

Season opener is Oct 10 with arrival Spokane, WA Airport Oct 8 where you'll be retrieved by the outfitter. You'll be driven to Nordman, Idaho and you can buy your license OTC on the way to camp.

Hunt is 6 full days Oct 10-16 or Oct 18-23.

Camp is a very nice 3 bedroom home right in the hunting area.

1x1 6 DAYS $9,250 second hunt Oct 18-23

There is one whitetail tag also available for $4,500 if combined with an elk hunt.

Lic $185/elk tag $651.75/6% tax are only extras.
