Guys I have never offered a hunt here because I don't want to be in the middle of mudslinging. I have talked to Saeed about this and have his permission to post this - even though it is not in the traditional form. I am not making any money off this at all, this is just trying to give an AR friend a chance at a super deal on a super hunt.

I took a group to Niassa to hunt with Kambako safaris last year. We had a splendid trip. I am taking a group this year, and 2 groups next year. I have just had a cancellation in our group this year, and the hunter is leaving $4950 deposit on the table that you can use. My groups already get a discount, so it makes this trip especially appealing.

The dates with travel are July 26-August 12. We will be in camp for 13 days, but you can do a 10 day hunt, and 3 days observer/fishing/photo safari rate.

The hunter that cancelled had a 10 day buff hunt at $9000+3 days observer at $300 for $9900 day rates. You can hunt 12 or 13 days by paying $900/day also. With general license and gun import permit for 1 rifle, the total comes to $10,500. So you can have the hunt for $5550, plus trophy/license fees and charter. There will be 6 of us on the hunt(5 hunters and a cameraman), so charter will be split and will not be too bad. We fly to JNB, stay all night at African Sky, fly to Pemba, Moz the next day and then charter to camp.

The area has 25 huntable species including suni, Litch. hartebeest, Niassa Wildebeest, etc. Sable are available for an upgrade, and most of the common PG are abundant. I will try to attach a trophy fee list below.

If you haven't seen my hunt report, check it out at TH Moz Report .

Also, here is a 9 minute promo video we made for Kambako so you can see things first hand. Kambako Video

SPECIES TROPHY LICENCE SPECIES TROPHY LICENCE
FEE US$ FEES US$ FEE US$ FEES US$

Baboon - Yellow 100 50 Hyena 1,000 200

Buffalo 2,300 1,200 Impala - Johnston 350 150

Bushbuck 700 200 Kudu 1,200 700

Bushpig 350 120 Leopard 4,000 1600

Crocodile 3,000 500 Lion 15,000 1600

Duiker (common) 400 80 Sable – Roosevelt under 40” 3,500 850

Duiker (red) 1,000 80 Sable – Roosevelt over 40” 5,500 850

Eland male 1,300 900 Suni 1,000 80

Elephant See below 11,000 Warthog 350 120

Grysbok – Sharpes 900 80 Waterbuck 1,800 500

H/beeste - L/stein 1,950 550 W/beeste – Niassa 1,950 550

Hippo 3,100 900 Zebra – Boheme 1,200 800

I know price list didn't line up just right, but I don't have 30 minutes to try to retype and line it all up. I hope you can get a good idea. If you notice, license and trophy fee is fairly close to just trophy fee in Zim.

To give you a decent idea on travel- I think the flight to Pemba from JNB is about $800-900- so you are probably looking at around $3000 for commercial flights to US. We all used Steve Turner and he has taken good care of us as a group.

Lastly - email me direct at tim@timherald.com or I am happy to answer any questions I can here on the forum. I will be in and out all weekend, but will do my best to keep up.

Our 4 buff from last year's group.

Depends on if theres a camera there. Aaron might pistol whip his own mother if he thought she was stealing air time Big Grin

Poor guy says he hates the camera but he has a way of drifting towards it like a moth to a spotlight. All that and a face made for radio animal

Good for Adam... that looks like a great trip with great people at a fantastic price!

OK, I can't help myself. I have looked at these pics for 3 days and chuckle every time. You know the story about dogs and their owners looking alike? Well, these guys all seem to look like the faces on their buffs!
P.S. I wish I had seen this trip in time. Should be awesome!
