Dates: 6 – 15 August, 2018

NON-TROPHY BUFFALO/HIPPO HUNT - DZOTI CONSERVANCY (CAPRIVI) 2018

Hunt Itinerary:

Day 1: Early morning transfer to Eros Airport in Windhoek. Flight to Mpacha Airport near Katima Mulilo (3 hours with stopover in Rundu). Transfer (1 1/2 hours) to hunting camp by vehicle in the Caprivi. Lunch in camp, sighting in the rifle.

Day 2 - 9: Hunt in Caprivi – 8 Hunting days for non-trophy buffalo/hippo and limited plains game.

Day 10: Breakfast in camp. Transfer to the Mpacha Airport. Flight back to Windhoek Eros Airport. Arrival in the late afternoon.

Air Namibia scheduled flights: from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Mpacha Airport in Katima Mulilo (approx. USD 400.00, return trip). Flights depart from Windhoek in the morning and return from Katima in the afternoon. Currently flights are on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays. The price of this flight might be drastically reduced when booked in connection with an Air Namibia flight from Frankfurt, Germany to Windhoek, well in advance. The accommodation in Windhoek on arrival and departure day is highly recommended as Air Namibia changes the Katima flights' schedule very often and the flight is regularly not on time.

Arrival day in Namibia: Pick-up from International Airport > Transfer to Hotel, Hotel accommodation with breakfast and transfer the next morning to Eros Airport - USD 210.00 (we will gladly book this on your behalf).
Arrival and departure = USD 420.00 / person

We usually have between 3-5 plains game animals available for each of our big game hunters. Certain species cannot be reserved, because the quota is limited and it depends what is available at the time you arrive. The quota on Chapman’s Zebra, Kudu, Warthog, Impala and Blue Wildebeest is slightly higher and chances are very high that these species will be on your permit than species like Bushbuck, Reedbuck, Eland or Waterbuck. I can tell you the exact list of animals only a couple of days before your departure.

8 - Day Hunt / 1x1 guided = $7,200

Trophy Fees:
Buffalo 3,500.00
Hippo 2,750.00

Trophy fees - Additional species (if available on quota):
Greater Kudu USD 2,250.00
Burchell's Zebra USD 1,250.00
Common Impala USD 750.00
Grey Duiker USD 500.00
Warthog USD 500.00
Bushbuck USD 1,500.00
Reedbuck USD 1,500.00
Eland USD 3,500.00
Waterbuck USD 4,000.00
Blue Wildebeest USD 950.00
Chacma Baboon USD 150.00

We also have Own Use hunts for buffalo & buffalo/hippo in 2019 as well - please inquire (globalhunts@aol.com)

I've shot 4 elephants and some buffalo with Hentie. He is a great PH. During my hunts in the Dzoti Conservancy, it had lots of buffalo and hippo.

Go Duke!!
