This is the gentleman's OFFERED hunt, no problem there. I'm just curious why the 2x2 hunt is more than the 1x1 ?

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Dear Webster,
You are right that notice our misprint, of course the price 1x1 is 11.000 US$ and 2x2 is 10.000 US$.
Thank you.

Dear Friends!
I would like to explain why we think our offer as a good deal. As on every market, there are many offers on the hunting market too. Some of them are cheap, some of them are more expensive. What are the factor that influence the price, they are very numerous: accommodation type, service level, the density of population in the area, the way how the area is protected from poaching. Of course, we all made the best choice according to our needs.
Why we think our offer a good deal - because it is a private area, that is taken a good care of, the owner pays a lot of attention to protect the area. The area itself is situated just near the national park, where there is no hunting, but Tur are always living the borders of the national park. There was no hunting pressure on the area, because commercial hunting is just starting there.
So in terms of quality of hunt and its pricing, we think that it is a reasonable and a good deal!

I did this hunt with Profi Hunt and this was the worst hunting trip I have ever been on in my life!!!!!!! I can not say that it is in the same area but if any one is considering doing this hunt really check into it. We were told that it would be pre-scouted and it was all false, on top of that we saw very few animals and were moving camp almost every day. You must be in top condition to consider doing this hunt. My friend and I had a vertical accent of 7150 feet in one day...this was on an altimeter.
Be careful of this "deal". This hunt is not any discount at all!!

Dear Friends!

Here are some pictures of Bezengi Camp area in Kabardino-Balkaria just to give you the idea. On one of them you can see the owner of the area - Mr. Pilugin with his Mid-Caucasian Tur trophy. This trophy takes now the first place in SCI record book (score 168"). SCI scores are: the length of the left horn - 36 4/8", the length of the right horn is 39 6/8". Another trophy taken by the owner takes the fifth place at the same SCI record book. There are also pictures of the base camp itself, cars that are used for the transfers and the landscape itself. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Hi Jim,
At first we would like to thank you for your feedback. And we totally agree with you and also appeal to hunters to be careful while making their choice among a lot of “deals” on the hunting market, be careful not only in terms of honesty and professionalism of outfitter, but also, as Jim said, be careful in terms of real estimation of your personal physical ability to manage the hunt.
I know about your hunting trip with Profi Hunt. You were hunting with Chris Jackson and two more friends in Tyrnyaus area if I remember correct. It is in 4-5 hours’ drive distance from the area we are offering now. Your area is just from another side of a mountain range we hunt.
Here is the comparison of both areas:
1. Bezengi camp area is a little bit easier physically. Mountains are not as vertical as in Tyrnyaus. But still hunter should be in a good physical shape and more than this it should a hunter, who experienced mountain hunt before. I agree with you, and I am transparent to inform hunters about this before they come.
2. In both areas, in Bezengi as well as in Tyrnyaus, cars are used to get to the base-fly camp. The difference is that in Tyrnyaus, the sheep sherd that they use for the purpose is the final camp, the one you stalk your trophy from. In Bezengi camp, the base-fly camp is half-way one and we take you by horses or sometimes by cars (where it is possible) to the destination tented fly camp, deeper into the mountains, and then from this very fly camp you already walk, climb and stalk the trophy, coming back every day to your fly camp.
3. Bezengi area is a private area, and camp staff is stuck to the place, while Tyrnyaus it is state area and local guides get ridiculous salaries, and sometimes guides try to screw out tips just to show you big trophies.
Moreover, hunters don’t expect to see the realities of Azerbaijan Tur hunt while hunting Tur in Russia. The reality of Azerbaijan is that naturally the density of Tur population is higher there and at a time you can see groups of 100 Tur species. In Russia, we don’t have such a density of Tur population – and it is also the reality of this hunt. It is not because of the lack of pre-scouting, or lack of professionalism of your outfitter. Of course the above-mentioned reasons can also harm your hunt. But you will not see Mid Tur or Kuban Tur in numbers that you can see Dagestan Tur in Azerbaijan. Just be ready for this before you come.

Hi Anna,
Yes I did hunt with Chris Jackson and I do remember talking with you (thru email) before we left for that trip. Even though our hunt was not the best I must say that the Caucasus Mountains were beautiful. After my return home I vowed to never hunt in Russia again but now that I've had time to think I would love to go back under different conditions and more organization. I don't think I would hunt for Mid-Cauc Tur but I would try for Kuban Tur instead. I know most of the hunters who have hunted with Ali have had great things to say about how he conducts his hunts.

Hi Jim,

Nice to hear from you! I am glad to know that our Mountains are still pulling you despite all the difficulties that you faced during your previous trip.
As for Ali, he is perfect PH, I agree with you. Many hunters took their trophies with his assistance. He knows the hunting area perfectly, he has horses trained for mountain trips, and he is working hard till the final second of your hunting trip without giving up. That is the main factors that allow me to call him perfect PH.
You know Caucasus, in this very place many things depend on the weather, but if we talk about success rate of Ali as PH when the weather allows you to do the hunt, it is almost 90%.

I don’t know what outfitter you will finally choose for your possible hunting trip in Caucasus, but I definitely know that I would like to be among those to choose from. Let’s get in contact and discuss what organization and conditions you expect from your possible future trip to Russia, who knows maybe I can make you the offer you cannot resist.
