I have a real problem with graded scale trophy hunting, whether it be kudu or whitetails. If you tell me how big it is, and are wrong and its bigger, are you going to make up the difference in cost? Make it one reasonable cost, and let the chips fall where they may. All the rest are great prices.

To be honest - I have a problem with tiered trophy fees as well. But this is how this particular landowner has set his pricing and I have little alternative other than passing same on to my clients. Look at it this way - would you be happy to pay $3,750 for a 50" Kudu if you could get it for $2,000 elsewhere? $3,750 for a 60" Kudu bull in an area that has true potential to deliver such specimens with a bow is a very reasonable price though.

To answer your question - if I as PH misjudge the size and you shoot a bigger one than what you were hoping for the responsibility for the difference in cost would be on me.
