Folks,

Well known Zim PH and author of "Into the thorns" Wayne Grant is hunting a new concession that he has taken over this year in Moz. It is a 3 hour drive East of Lichinga in the North and borders Niassa.

Hunters will fly from Joburg to Maputo where they will have to overnight and then catch the early AM flight the next day to Lichinga. Wayne will meet you here and drive you to camp.

He still has one Lion left for this year and as far as Lion hunting goes its a very good price! Wayne is on the ground right now and just sent me an email to say that its a fabulous area and he has seen good sign of multiple lion. The area has not been hunted for cats for many years and there is a chance at getting a very good lion here.

Lion and plains game hunt 16 days x $1600/day = $25,600
Firearm, hunting permits and transfers from airport to camp and back $1500
Observers $ 225 per day.

Daily rates include:
---------------------
Accommodation
All meals and local beverage
Daily laundry service
Service of all camp staff
Services of licensed professional hunter
Use of 4 x 4 vehicle and equipment

Daily rates do not include:
----------------------------

Transport of trophies to shipping agent in Chimoio
Any visa fees

The Mount Mosale Safari concession lies 250km east of Lichinga in Niassa Province, in the far north of Mozambique.
This is a wild untamed part of Africa, virtually unchanged since the grand old days of Mozambican Safaris in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
The area consists of Miombo forest, interspersed with open grassy meadows, alluvial flood plains, and thick riverine bush along the major rivers. Rugged granite hills mark the western boundary. The Lugenda River cuts through the concession flowing west to east. The safari camp is situated on the southern bank of the Lugenda, in a picturesque setting amongst giant shady evergreens.
The camp is classic east African luxury tents on a concrete base, with en suite ablutions. The lounge/dining area is concrete under thatch, and faces directly on to the river.
This unspoiled wilderness area is home to elephant, (the Niassa Province is well known for its giant tuskers) buffalo, lion, leopard, and numerous plainsgame species including the majestic sable antelope and shy kudu. This area is known for its large herds of Livingstone eland. The Lugenda has good numbers of hippopotamus and crocodile.

Fortunately there are commercial flights into Lichinga, so expensive charter flights are not necessary. The camp is only a two and a half hour drive from Lichinga.

Please let me know if you have any other Qs.

Wayne Grant is a top PH, originally from Zimbabwe. He specializes and is well known for cat hunting. His book is all about hunting the big cats.

Sincerely,

Arjun Reddy
