Hunt: Dove Shoots

We are offering hot barrel dove hunts for next season around Obregon, while staying in our new Terranova Ranch 5 star lodge, just 45 minutes away from the shooting grounds.

Location

The shoots take place in the famous Valle del Yaqui (Valley of the Yaquis), an enormous expanse of well watered agricultural land, surrounded by natural nesting and roosting terrain which all add up for the perfect place to hunt doves. Shoots are done in our private areas in the Valley just 45 minutes away from our lodge, over sorghum, sesame and sunflower seeds which attract the dove flocks in the thousands.
Shooters are taken everyday from the lodge in groups of up to 3 people per truck, always in company of one of our english speaking guides to their shooting spots, where birdboys and helpers would be waiting so no time is wasted on getting to each individual spot and on letting the shooting begin!

Lodging

Our lodge is located 25 minutes away from the city of Obregon and 45 min max of our dove shooting grounds in the valley.
5 star facilities all around from our single and double occupancy rooms, our bar, main lodge and terraces where you will enjoy a beautiful view every day.
Capacity for up to 15 shooters at a time, without compromising individual confort at any point.
First rate, accommodations, satellite tv, wifi service, jacuzzi, swimming pool, spa, daily room service and laundry service as well as the attention of our well trained and friendly staff will be available at our beautiful everyday for you and your friends of family when hunting with us

Hunt

When hunting with us you and your fellow shooters will be picked up by our english speaking staff in either Hermosillo or Obregon airport, you will be escorted to our lodge to get settled on your facilities and rest or begin shooting depending on arrival time.
An early morning start to have breakfast at the lodge will mark the beginning of the full hunting day, a 45 min drive to the shooting grounds in small personalized groups of 3-4 assisted by your guide who will be with you at all times, bird boys will have everything settled and ready by the time you arrive so no time is wasted.
Benelli semi auto shotguns to which constant maintenance is done are provided by us in case you don't wish to bring your own.
You can expect to shoot anywhere from 10 to 50 boxes on each shoot, after a fun filled morning is heading back to the lodge for meals, drinks and some rest before the afternoon shoot, then back for dinner and relaxing and enjoying our facilities.

Dates

Dove hunting season opening day is Sept 1st and it extends all the way to March 30


Shooting Groups System

Our dove shoots take place based on groups of minimum 6 shooters and up to 15 max.
You can book your hunt with your personal group to have the lodge and the shoots for your own party or book individually or under 6 shooters and join other shooters in the whole group.


Standard Dove Hunting Package Summary:

Includes:

5 Dove Shoots
An arrival day, 2 full shooting days and a departure day
Transportation from Hermosillo or Obregon International airports to the lodge and back to the airport at the end of the hunt
English speaking guides to be shared by 3 - 4 max hunters depending on group size
Transportation of 3-4 max hunters per truck to the shooting areas and back to the lodge before and after every shoot
1 bird boy service per hunter
Lodging (double occupancy room) in Terra Nova Lodge and full use of all the facilities and services of our lodge staff
All meals ( 3 course meals plus dessert) and snacks
All drinks including beer and margaritas
Use of semi auto shotguns .20 ga or .12 ga
Daily shotgun cleaning and maintenance
All your paperwork required for weapons and dove hunting

Not included:

Shotgun shell boxes (We provide them) 25 shell box - $17.50 ea
Gun permit in case of bringing your own firearm - $300
Non hunter fee ( includes all the services) - $995
Single occupancy rooms can be provided for extra $100 per night
Alcohol and spirits other than beer or margaritas, these can be purchased from our spirits and wine selection at the lodge.
Any other service or product shooters might require beforehand or during the shoot which we will be happy to assist
