Hiya Guys,
I'm offering the above hunt on our own ground managed exclusively by Athina Sporting in South west Scotland.
The day rate quoted above includes all Access, Guiding services, extraction and transportation to and from the ground. It also includes any stags you shoot, so NO TROPHY FEES!!! You can shoot up to two big stags per day and as many management and cull animals as you have the chance at. I will stress that this is THE area in Scotland for big Wild Free Ranging Stags. We hold the current Scottish record since 2010 and have seen stags annually that rival it and one we are sure will beat it... at 60 metres this year the client froze and didn't shoot!!
You will need to be relatively fit to enjoy this hunt, but saying that we got an 80 year old man his stag on his first morning this year and even your "slightly" (ahem...) portly scribe managed it up the mountain and survived!!
We can assist you with airport transfers, accommodation, and firearm importation. I have excluded the additional services because that way you have flexibility to plan your own itinerary as you wish.
Details Below:
Accommodation B&B is between £60/night to £120/Night depending on your choice of venue
- Temporary firearms permit is £35
- Mandatory Insurance is £35
- Airport transfers £75
- Rifle Hire £45/Day
- Wild Goat Trophy £250
- Wild Goat Management Animal Free (Subject to Availability)
- Roe Buck Trophy Free
- Evening Wild Duck Flight
All Prices are subject to 20%VAT.
This is a seriously good offer with a chance at shooting medal quality and potentially record Wild Stags. There is no charge for non shooting observers
I will be on location from the 5th October onwards, and this hunt can be tied in with the grouse shooting hunt we have offered on the forum.
Rgds,
K

AnotherAZWriterThis is a smoking hot deal. You don't have to pay a lot for a good stag hunt in Scotland. I am going back in 2015. Save me a place.
15 May 2014, 05:34
SFRanger7GPKiri: I think we should be good with those days but we are open to suggestions. Any opportunities for roe deer?
15 May 2014, 11:09
Fallow BuckHiya mate
There might be some roe about while hunting on the lower hills but they tend to lay down after their rut in August.
If we see any during the red rut they are available free of charge or for the cost of a small pint...

You could always come into Aberdeen as mike is doing and hunt roe there for a day or two. You might even manage to shoot the odd grouse. Then we can head across to Dumfries on the 5th.

Indeed management hunting in Scotland need not be too expensive by the standards of the rest of the world, but I should point out that mostly the stags shot in Scotland are management animals and rarely will estates offer trophy class animals for hunting.
We are very lucky with our location and the good volume of high quality stags we have access to.

SvinejaktBest Scottish stag offer I have seen. I can`t go

Hope someone does a couple of reports from the hunt!!
15 May 2014, 14:16
Fallow BuckThe only reason there won't be any reports is if Clara shoots a bigger stag than all the boys!!!

I just want to let everyone know that their hunts are secure even if you have not received a deposit request yet.
We did have a cancellation for the 10th October onwards if anyone still fancies joining us?
Best regards,
Kiri

Use Enough GunOutstanding!

I just returned from Scotland last week with my wife as we were visiting family history venues around Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well in the Scottish Highlands, and would love to return and do this next year!

I love Scotland!

Fallow BuckUEG,
I'm really excited about this season. Feel free to mail me to pencil in dates for 2015, even though we won't be firming up bookings until late October.
We have actually only put limited number of hunters on there to try and ensure maximum sport for all involved.
On top of that it looks like I'm going to meet a heap more AR members, and that can't be a bad thing!!
Not long to go now!!
Rgds

If the dates work for anyone let me know. It may be too late to get the firearm permits done but we have plenty of nice rifles here that people can use.

fujotupuShould Scotland become a Republic will there be visa requirements for foreign hunters?

18 September 2014, 01:12
Fallow BuckForget the visas, they want to ban guns and give the estates back to the people!!!
Almost like zim!!
