Hi Charlie

Thanks for your questions.

Yes, that's right. I'm based in Vienna and more and more often stay in the Austrian Alps.

Some of my clients recommended me to post parts of my offers - especially those in Europe - here on AR and so I had a look at this platform.

I myself have been hunting since I was a little girl and have hunted on four continents so far. Hunting has been part of my professional portfolio since 2017 and I really enjoy it.

Romania is one of my favourite hunting countries and I think this beautiful country makes many hunters' hearts beat faster. This offer is indeed a very good one and I myself hunt in this area at least once a year. Have you already hunted in Romania?

Kind regards
Eva Maria

Eva .. welcome to AR. This type of hunt is on my bucket list (along with a hunting friend from Reno `who is also busy. ). I actually have a snow goose shoot in Saskatchewan and a hunting trip in Uruguay for May.

Are there any time slots available later in the year on this particular property?

Good morning Scruffy ;-)

I just checked it with the hunting area and there are free slots between July 26th and August 3rd. This is actually also a good time as it is during the rutting season.

For more details or pictures just call me or send me an email.

Have a great start in the day
Eva

Eva. Is it a common thing to vary the cost of Roe bucks by the gram.

Eva explained to me that the weight by grams is mostly a European thing. Americans do not like the system and this ol' Canadian feels the same way.

I am just going over for the experience and could care less about the gold medal schtick.

I remember reading an article the late Lynn Castle (well known Alaskan guide) had written about a hunt for red stag in Hungary, I believe.

He was hoping for a stag with thin antlers and screwed up. $6,800 U.S. trophy fee that he did not have with him. He managed to get the funds from friends but quite the lesson.

He said that they saw a stag that was worth $20,000. I am sure that long ago article in the safari magazine was back about 1980.

  • Eva,
Since the hunting area is in Romania near the Hungary border would it be simpler to fly into Cluj and clear private firearms only once instead in both Hungary and Romania?

    Hello Frank
I wanted to give you options. For this area it is faster to travel to Budapest. At the moment you are right and firearms will be still controlled also between Hungary and Romania but this is usually a 15 minutes thing. Soon you will not have this control anymore as also Romania is now part of the Schengen zone.
    Best regards
    Eva

Unfortunately, this is very common in certain countries like Romania and Hungary. In other countries like eg Czech you pay by CIC points. And some countries like eg Spain you pay according to base, bronze, silber or gold medal.

I always try to negotiate also packages, like I did it here.

    Hi!

Yes, I do. I have different areas in Romania like this one.

Furthermore, I can offer you roe deer hunts in Austria, Spain, Hungary, Czech, France and coming soon is Latvia (I just hunted there by myself and are currently negotiating the contract with some areas there).

You can be sure that all the hunts you book with me do fulfill my quality standards. Some of my hunts you can find on my Facebook page Eva Maria Schrittwieser-Huntress.

Feel free to write me for further questions.

    Have a great day
    Eva Maria
