What if you get a 39" buffalo? You make it sound like the buffalo that gets shot has to be exactly 38"?

We will be aiming for 38" Bulls, if my PH makes a call and its 39" or even 40" then its your bonus, but as we are aiming for Old Dugga Buffalo and at this price can't shoot trophy Bulls,

these are the type of bulls you will be targeting

you state that a full refund of the $12,500 trophy fee is given if no buffalo is shot. does this mean you must pay the trophy fee BEFORE the hunt???

Any discount if it doesn't make 38" ?

$12,500 for a Buffalo is quite a whack to pay in advance - is there a particular reason for this?

Like because maybe the daily rate is effectively zero! I happen to think this is a pretty decent deal for a Greater Kruger buff. Not everyone wants a 45" buff and would prefer to shoot an ancient, broken down 38" monster. If I had the scratch at the moment, I would be on this!

And because the daily rate is almost zero you honestly believe the outfitter is going to allow you to miss out on a buffalo and be refunded $12,500?

Nobody mentioned 45" - the outfitter suggested 40" and if his PH allows you to shoot 40+ he's going to get his nuts chewed. Big Grin

So, all in all the outfitter reaps a total $28,250 for this 5 day hunt .... or am I dreaming?

P.S. No such thing as a "Greater Kruger Buff"

Of course he is not going to let you miss out on a buff and I think that is the point. Frankly, I think if we had an African hunting sphere based upon lower daily rates and higher trophy fees, we would have a much more honest industry. As an example, how many lions and leopard are sold and re-sold to keep reaping the fees charged? As for "no such thing" as a greater Kruger buff....have they fenced the boundary between Timbavati and Kruger?

Morning all,
So here is the deal, Tendrams, thanks for your enthusiasm towards this deal,
I have put this offer to the AR group as I am trying to make some head way into the people that visit this forum, any one that has hunted buffalo in the Timbavati in the last 5 years would have paid between $20k and $26k for this same deal, 95% of all my sales is direct to outfitters who sell the hunt on at the shows, and when you visit these outfitters next year at SCI or Dallas there prices will still be high,
I have the marketing rights to the reserve and I also happen to be the largest private land owner in the reserve, I am offering these prices hugely discounted so I can get more talk on AR regarding the Timbavati,
Fujolupu no discount for anything under 38”, no further comment on that,
We have a local population of over 3500 buffalo and an open boundary with no fence of over 50km,
Yes normally clients pay 100% upfront before they enter the reserve, there is almost no day rates, just enough to cover my PH and catering, if you do not shoot a buffalo during your 5 days then I will gladly hand you back the Trophy fee in fresh USA notes, in the 7 years I have been hunting in the reserve I have only once had a client leave without shooting a Buffalo, he was looking for over 44” and we did not shoot one.
He did return the next year and took a 46” buffalo,
If you not happy with the 38” limit at this price, you are welcome to pay the $36 000 fee for a Trophy Buffalo and come and hunt the biggest you can find,

This a GREAT deal folks with a outfit in good standing.

It is common practise in these concessions to pay the hunt price up front in full. No funnies there, and no Mickey mouse outfitters allowed in these areas. Hunts are very controlled and regulated.

You will not get smoked on this one.

It is by far the best offer I have seen for a Timbavati Buff hunt in a very long time.

I have hunted Timbavati in 2004 or 2005 , i shot two buffalos , the biggest and the most beatifull that i shot till this moment with 45 and another one with 42.
During the first day i saw 300 buffalos plus , rhino, leopard during daylight, and an old old lion.
It is simply an amazing place , extremelly well organized , very strict rules .
I heard very nice things about jkhunter and his operation and i am sure you are in very good hands.
Do not hesitate with such a proposal !
Cheers.

Hi Indi

Thanks for that I am trying to make the Timbavati more well known to people so that the Outfitters who sell the Buffalo at the shows have a easier job, glad you had 2 great hunts, who did you hunt with back then?

Good Morning Gents,

Well I thought I would get more interest from the AR group on this buffalo hunt that I actually did,

As this is my last stock for the year and there is no interest I will be pulling the offer at the end of today and will offer to passed clients at same price,

That would be the most sensible and considerate plan of action thing to take. Your past clients will be thrilled to the core! clap
