MARK H. YOUNGGreat price on trophy elephant in Zim '11 and '12
We had a great DSC and SCI show and our Zim operators did very well selling out most all their quota for '11 and '12 but there is still some quota to be had and some good prices. One of the best opportunities is with Terry Anders/Forever African Safaris who has two bull elephants available in the Gwampa Forest that lays between the Gwayi Forest and Turkmine.
The hunts are availabe for Mar-April '11 so if you want to go this year we should talk NOW.
Please do not confuse these hunts with any of the PAC or Management hunts that have been discussed here. These hunts are straight up trophy hunts with fully exportable ivory.
Camp will be a comfy mobile tented camp but with showers, real beds etc.
Terry will do the hunts himself if at all possible.
Pricing:
1x1 10 days $800 per day
Trophy fees:
Less than 30# $10,000
30#-39# $11,000
40# upward $12,000
Extras:
CITES for ele $100
Road transfer $400 RT
MARS $10 per day
Dip/pack $500
We can offer these hunts for '12 also but the daily rate will be $900 per day and the trophy fees will increase by $500 each.
This is basically an elephant bull hunt only but if the ele is taken early on it may be possible to move to the Save for plains game. Two bulls are possible if negotiations are agreeable to Terry and the client.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions.
Mark

it will actually be more than that if you figure airfare, tips, visas, permits, taxes, trophy shipment, customs clearance, taxi to and from the airport.....I was referring to daily rates and trophy fee, next time I will elaborate.

Wasn't trying to offend you. Some agents do all in pricing, some don't. Mark always does a decent job of listing the line items and amounts. If $1,100 means noting to you when compared to $20,000 so be it. To me it's another plainsgame animal while I'm there.
