I'm looking at booking a short hunt for buffalo and maybe either a tuskless elephant or hippo. My time, due to business commitments, will be limited, unfortunately.

Your thoughts on operators/outfitters offering good deals/good value for money would be appreciated.

short hunt? is prob. 7 days? zim could be an option, especially for the hippo and ele.If you want to do like 5 day youll need to go to SA,buff are a lot more expensive though but everything is closer to a airport hence easy in easy out.

For a good value on a high quality hunt, I would suggest you contact Martin Pieters and talk to him about his Omay concession. Lots of hippo along Lake Kariba, very good buffalo and plenty of tuskless. Mart's a solid guy who is putting a lot back into his area. He is very active in the hunting organizations in Zim (committee member of SOAZ and ZPHGA) which is important as one needs to be wary of dodgy operators in Zim and anywhere else for that matter.
