We have four (4) Unit Wide GMU 53 Landowner Permits,(Unit Wide-meaning you can hunt any US Forest, BLM, NM State Lease, and Unit Wide Ranch lands) for sale at $1,284 ea. You must purchase a NR or Res Elk License on top of the LO permit. The NR license cost is $564 and the Res cost is $100. We will provide assistance in logistics of lodging and hunt areas to start.

This is a good unit, not the Gila, but a good unit. A solid bull in this unit will be in the 260-300 range. However, as you will see in posted pictures following, 350 bulls are possible. Topography varies from lower elevation pj to high country timberline.

The first hunt option timeframe is Oct 8-12 muzzy (inlines and scopes are legal) or bow with a bag limit of either sex. The second hunt option is Oct 15-19 and rifle or lessor weapon can be used. The third hunt timeframe is Oct 22-26 and is also rifle or lessor weapon.

Please note there are many ranches signed up "unit wide" in GMU 53. This means you can legally hunt these private lands during the timeframe your license is validated.

We also have a GMU 13 UW tag that we are ready to take offers on this tag as well. Our intent was to guide folks on all of the these tags......however, the ecomony, the smoke, and the fires have really taken its toll on folks coming to NM. We are asking $2550 + tax on this tag. Make and offer. We can outfit you, semi guide you, let you go on your own with our tips on spots to go. This is a "muzzy only" unit. Choose any 5 days, Oct 8-12 for youth only, Oct 15-19, Oct 22-26, or late season Nov 19-23. The picture below is me holding a 400 inch GMU 13 bull taken a couple of years ago. There are big bulls in this unit. If you have a son or daughter less than 18 years of age....this is an awesome hunt.
