You can read my recent hunt report for this same hunt here http://forums.accuratereloadin...8321043/m/2751059912

Limited dates available between 28th Feb to 6th April, 2017.

There are plenty of Musk Ox in the outfitters area, we took 5 in two days of hunting including one with a bow.

Yes it will be cold at that time of the year but if you take the right gear its really not a big issue. It is not a physically tough hunt and staying in a warm cabin with hot meals makes all the difference.

To get there fly from the US to Copenhagen, Denmark and overnight. Next morning you will fly to Greenland on a commercial airline. The cost of this ticket is included in your hunt cost. Yes it is a bit frustrating to fly over Greenland to Copenhagen and then return to Greenland but there is no easy or cheap way to get to Greenland from the States.

After your Musk Ox is down time permitting you can hunt small game - Ptarmigan, hare etc. A visit to the polar ice cap, dog sled ride and if you are lucky to see the Northern lights make for a great Artic experience.

In the Spring you can only hunt Musk Ox. In the Fall you can hunt for Musk ox and Caribou. We are waiting for the 2017 Fall hunt rates as it includes a helicopter charter cost which won't be known till later on in the year.

A few days stop over in Copenhagen to do some sight seeing makes this a great hunting trip and vacation as well.

Thanks for looking.

Sure sounds like a great trip. Gonna have to think on this. What would a non hunter cost to come along? My wife likes to be there too.

When you say shipping the trophy back to the US, is that similar to how it's done when hunting Africa?

The cost of an observer is 2.850 € and includes the flight from Denmark to Greenland return and rental of seal skin clothing and boots.

At the end of the season the outfitters sends all the clients trophies in 2 shipments. One goes to a taxidermist in Germany the other in Austria, depending on their clients wishes. You can send it to someone else in EU as well if they can handle it but it will cost a lot more to ship it individually. The. trophies are sent frozen solid in appropriate containers. I have talked with both taxidermists and opted to use the one in Austria, although the one in Germany also has a good name. He will mount the trophies as per your wishes and ship them to the states. They both were not keen to just prepare the trophies for onward shipment for mounting in the states as they said it was too much hassle with musk ox. I guess if you are willing to pay them for their time they will do it!!!
