Greg Acord/Acord Guide Service has the Kodiak Island area adjacent to Scott Mileur's Red Lake area which may very well be the best brown bear area on Kodiak Island. Greg used to work for Scott and he and Scott still do collaborate on hunts. Neither one of these guys ever have an opening but Greg has had a cancellation for the opener April 11-22, 2019 and asked me to help. This could be a chance to kill a monster and historically these hunts have been very successful for very big bears.

On this first hunt you may not see loads of bears but most of the bears you'll see on this first hunt should be boars. You should not be sorting through a bunch of juveniles, sows and cubs.

Accommodations will be in big stand up tents with cots and heaters plus you'll be eating real food.

You'll need to fly to Kodiak City and charter to camp from there.
