Got home from my bear hunt day before yesterday and apparently everyones getting sick...
my sheep hunter called and canceled, half price sheep hunt,
$7000, normally 14,000 shoot a grizzly for free if its in a convienent spot.
Pick up in anchorage and deliver you back, air taxi guide (me) is all included in the hunt.
license,tags and any hotel stuff is not.
Hunt dates are
August9-19. fly into camp on the 9 and out on the 19th. season opens on the 10
This is not a sissy hunt, this is a backpacking thru the mountians sheep hunt. Need to be in good shape or the hunt will be short and no fun!

talkeetna mtns unit 13, success rate has been between 60-70 percent.

To hell with booking early.. I have now missed several smokin' deals because I have booked over a year in advance..

just thought i'd post the results on the cancellation hunt.
25 year old canadian client, one of the funnest hunts i've done due to his great attitude and outlook on hunting. this is what happens...

I had no idea that you could hunt Dall sheep with a shotgun.

In all seriousness, he got the job done and you can tell by the smile on his face that he had a great time doing it. Congrats to you and the hunter on a geat hunt.

What an amazing price on a cancellation....gotta get myself on one of these hunts in the future!

I suspect the sheep did a fair amount of hoowdy hooing in the rocks after the shot which accounts for most of the blood.

nope, pretty much just rolled once and was dead..i think the heart beating for a couple seconds after the shot accounted for the blood!
that and the white...wear a white shirt you'll get something on it...lol

If you have a cancelled hunt like this next year I will take it mark it SOLD.

That is a beautiful ram and a great deal. I guess my question/comment is that it looks like the ram was shot three times. Was that the case?

Its awesome to see great deals like this hunt and then see pictures of the end result.... Only bad thing about seeing the pictures is that you realize what a great deal you really missed out on
