I contacted Saeed and he gave approval for this posting.
My wife bought a hunt at a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation fundraiser for a 10 day hippo and croc hunt for 2 hunters in Mozambique for next summer (2011) and we have a conflict with other booked hunts so this one needs to go. I would like to offer the hunt to AR members first if anyone is interested, details follow:
The hunt is for 2 hunters with 1 PH for 10 days with trophy fee included for one hippo and one croc. Included trophy fees are as follows: hippo $2000 gov fee $600 and crocodile $2250 gov fee $250.
There are other animals available for the listed trophy fees:

Kudu $2500 gov fee $550
Impala $400 $100
Livingston Eland $2500 $650
Blue Wildebeast $1000 $300
Zebra $1500 $700
Leopard $4000 $900
Buffalo $4000 $800
Sable $4000 $500
Bushbuck $1000 $100
Sharps Grysbuck $1000 $50
Duiker $400 $50
Warthog $400 $50

The hunt may be upgraded to take lion or elephant as well for the daily rate for 11 additional days (elephant or lion requires 21 day hunt, extra days at $1400 per day plus trophy fees-elephant $5000, gov fee $6000, lion $6000, gov fee $900).

The hunt will take place on private property that borders the Save River for 26 km and also borders the Gonarezhou Park, this hunt is a 2 hunter with 1 PH hunt, Boer Coetzee is the PH. The camp is a tented camp overlooking the Save River and has ensuite facilities.

PH is to pick hunters up at Joburg and drive to camp via four wheel drive vehicle, there is a charge of $1000 to pick up and return to Joburg, additional fees are for dip and pack $1000, rifle permits ($400), and hunting license ($400). Minimum rifle caliber is .375 H&H. A charter flight is available to the camp for $3000 per plane.

The cost of this hunt for 2 hunters with trophy fee for 1 hippo and 1 croc is $4700, that is what my wife paid for the hunt. If anyone is interested please contact me at:

Does anybody know how to contact Boers?
We have been trying for a few months to put this hunt together but not going well.
He does not respond to emails or any phone calls.
At first a few months ago he did respond but since December contact has fallen off.
Anybody that know's him can you contact him and have him get back with me.
Thank Larry

Larry,

I too recently tried to contact Boer Coetzee. In desperation I went to his web page of which I d=had the URL. To my surprize, despite definitely entering InAfrica Safaris' URL I landed on the website of Andries van Wijk Safaris. Eventually a telephone call to the given number revealed that Boer had sold his whole operation. You can try getting his current contact details from here:van Wijk Safaris I hope that the current owners have not "soured up" after the deal and will give you his contact details. Smiler

In good hunting.

Lack of knowledge – by instruction. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it.

One cannot cure:

Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules!

My very long ago ancestors needed and loved to eat meat. Today I still hunt!

Andrew
Thanks, we knew he sold the South African business but was moving to private land in Mozambique and was to offer hunts there. This is the hunt we bought from Karl Evans which he got at the Rocky Mountain Elk Banquet.
Thanks again but looks like this deal has gone south.

Karl, that is truly the gesture of a gentleman of high integrity. I appreciate your actions, and sincerely hope that you gain retribution through the RMEF or elsewhere.
