At this time, unless you or Terry have heard something different in the last 24 hrs since I last spoke to the General Manager of the Bubye, the lioness qouta has not been approved by Zim Parks and in fact they have imposed a moratorium on lioness hunting throughout Zim for 2013.

Well, I thought all we had to worry about was the USF&W. I have a lioness hunt in BVC in 2014. I plan on talking to John Sharp in Atlanta in Feb.. Hope things have cleared up some by then.

Through my correspondence today it would seem your not alone in having a lioness booked on the Bubye for '13-'14 with no notice that these hunts not being available. I hope to have some more clarity on this tomorrow.

Yes, I have one booked for 2014 as well, so knowing what is going on would be nice.

Please note I said 2013, so I wouldn't be worrying about 2014 hunts just yet: a year is a long time in Africa. Also, the 2013 ban MAY be lifted on private land/conservancies, but nothing certain. The strong possibility of US banning imports of lion unless some huge support is massed against that eventuality soon, will render this chat null and void anyway!

What I heard this AM from Terry Anders was that Blondie/Bubye manager thought that when the quota actually came out that they might have some lioness yet for '13. Davies has quite a bit of influence so.................
