Chris Furia/Vision Quest Guided Hunts has two openings for the first 2014 Colorado elk rifle season Oct 11-15.

Hunt is conducted on a 10,0000 acre unfenced ranch close by Trinidad, CO. The ranch's terrain is quite mild with easy walking and no horses are necessary.

The ranch has resident elk all year and shot opportunity for anyone that can walk should be 100%. Trophy expectations should be a six point bull of 290 B&C-320 B&C with larger possible such as the first bull pictured.

These hunts are 5 full days of hunting and work nicely as a combination with a 3 day antelope hunt just before the elk making a nice 8 day hunt.

The antelope are hunted on another 52,000 acre private ranch also near Trinidad, CO.

There are lots of antelope and a shooter buck will score in the mid 70's with 80 inches possible.

Food and lodging will be included and provided at the La Quinta Inn or similiar in Trinidad.

Outfitter will assist with application for licenses. Antelope will have a guaranteed landowner tag. Hunters will need to apply for this first elk hunt through CO. Div. of Wildlife but this unit has historically been under subscribed for elk licenses so chances of drawing are 99%+

Hunters will be responsible for their transportation to Trinidad where the outfitter will meet you.

I think this is a great opportunity to take a good trophy elk or elk/antelope combo on a real hunt but not one that is a butt buster or requires roughing it in any way.
